Meet the Press was one of my favorite News shows (programmed to record on my DVR). I always thought Mr. Russert was fair, intelligent, did a good job of getting right to the point in his interviews, and never let anyone, of either party, off the hook. He will be missed!!
Mr. Russert was a practicing Catholic. I once heard him interviewed by Al Kresta of Ave Maria Radio on Kresta in the Afternoon.
May Tim Russert rest in the peace of Christ and may his loved ones be comforted.

You know, I really knew of Tim and my sister gave my husband his book about him and his father. She thought so well of him and his relationship with his dad. I had heard him a few times, but I seldom watch anything but cable news now..like FOX and so I lost track of him. I've been watching the messages tonight from all of his friends in the business, etc. He was a godfather to many of their children, one woman went on and on about how kind he was concerning her son that was born with handicaps...everyone talking about his faith and kindness and love for his family. I am so happy that he had a meeting with the Holy Father just recently. I wonder if he was worried about having to put his father in that assisted living and that this must have weighed him down..as he was so sensitive about his dad. Well, I don't know all of his views, I think he kept alot hidden, but I suspect he was faithful to Church teaching even though he may not have given that away. I am glad he was interviewed on AVE MARIA RADIO also and sorry I missed it. At any rate, some of these interviews tonight have been so sweet that I've teared up over someone I didn't even know..yet, a brother in the Faith and in Christ, he was and is! Suzanne
PS I have a blog again. Not much on it yet..just silly stuff, but here is the address..

Come by sometime! :)
Suzanne, I tried to find the interview on the avemariaradio archives to post the link but I couldn't find it. I'm going to your blog now.
We prayed for him at dinner tonight~I should have known you would share my grief over this great guy. What a great loss, professionally and of course, personally. We will miss him.
The grief!! God rest his soul.
Mary, JOT, I know. May he rest in peace.
I just can't imagine the upcoming elections without Tim Russert's input! The relationship he shared with his father was so special and the way he shared it with us really touched a lot of people. I can't believe he is gone.
Mrs Marcos,I know. I can't imagine it either.
