We are getting dumped on here in Southeastern Michigan. Most of it came over the weekend so there was no "snow day" to be had. There would have been though had it been during the week. We must have gotten 10 inches or more on Saturday.
Everything is just getting buried. But you know what? I kind of like the snow. I don't like driving in it. I kind of like shoveling it. (Although I only do a little). And I like the drama of it. Plus, you have to admit, it's very beautiful. I believe I would miss it if I lived in a warmer climate.

We didn't get as much snow on the 'west coast' of Michigan. But much of the extended family is on the 'east coast' and they got the same dumping. Last winter we got 105 inches total for the winter, #2 on the record books. I think this year is trying to get in the record books, too!
Stay safe and pray for family traveling for a wake/funeral in our family today/tomorrow....
We've had a dusting or two, but no real snowfall in Maryland. It kinda saddens me, because as you know, I won't see any of it in HI. I agree - I don't like to drive in it, but it has its beauty!!
As long as the streets aren't slippery..this is what I actually
love in the winter...mercy, if its gonna be cold anyway and if its gonna be dark anyway..one might as well look out the window and see WHITE and build snowpeoples and make snowangels and have hot cocoa and yeah!!!! You lucky duck! ;)
Stay safe and warm and enjoy
Thank you for this post, Rosemary. It helps me to understand what you are going through. Where Esther and I live, we are experiencing some heavy rains already, and storm is coming Thursday night. I hope the wearthermen were wrong!
:-)
Rosemary: So, you are a patio-table-snow-gauger too, huh? That is very funny! I have lots of those patio table shots in my photo album, too! Stay warm!
Easter, are you referring to a certain Pacific paradise-like island? Stay safe in the storm.
Nancy, yup, that's my gauge. I've actually gone out there with a ruler at times.
