Sure wish I could write some profound and thought-provoking reflection on the beginning of Lent as so many of my blogging friends have. Boy I sure learn a lot from all of you.
I am embarrassed to admit that what is most heavily on my mind is how very,
very hungry I am right now!!
God bless your Lent. Good night.

Have a big glass of water and wait 10 minutes, then a cup of nice warm tea. I do that every time I get hungry, and it helps a little!
Rosemary,
I think you are such a sweet person..you inspire me just the way you are.
Rosemary, I admire your honesty.
Oh Rosemary, I'm with Suzanne, you are so encouraging and receptive to others that you inspire me just the way you are!
And yes, I do have some aprons for sale. : )
I'm with KM and Suzanne, you are inspiring.
I have to admit, I just think "I hunger for God, I hunger for God, I hunger for God".
You guys are so good to me. What sweet comments. (I'm thinking if they only knew what a hothead I am....:)
MPN, I will definitely remember that advice and use it as Lent continues since some of my Lenten resolutions will result in my bing hungry:).
KN, are pictures posted on your blog somewhere-- I mean of the aprons?
Mimi, "I hunger for God." Yes, I will remember that too.
Don't feel bad. We felt very hungry too. ;) The worst was driving home from Mass, since it seemed like we drove past about a hundred fast food restaurants. (Okay, maybe not a hundred, but probably 15-20.)
We so take the availability of food for granted. What is the big deal about hunger? (I'm asking myself:) It's not like there is a danger of starving. I guess some of the distress is simply instinct. Hungry-- must get food. But I wonder too if it's part of so little self-denial in my life. If so, fasting is probably a very good Lenten practice for me.
