Roe v. Wade-- Lord, have mercy.

"We are created in the image of God...from the time there is conception, there is the life of God...That is why it is so wrong to destroy life, to destroy the image of God.

Blessed Teresa of Calcutta

"A voice was heard in Ramah, sobbing and loud lamentation; Rachel weeping for her children, and she would not be consoled, since they were no more." Matt 2:18

May the Lord have mercy on the United States. The blood of millions of utterly innocent human beings is on our hands. Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us.

Our Lady of Guadelupe, pray for us!!

May more appeal to her intercession as well as all the works that we do for the cause of LIFE...we can't do it alone...God wants us to work on our own AND appeal for divine help....or else, we will think we did it on our own!!

Can you believe this image was actually given to us from heaven?! Beautiful gift! :)

You wrote to me: "Catholica, I wonder how many people (like myself) will not read through this post because of the vulgarity. I suspect you are young and maybe don't realize that there are a lot of us out here who find this kind of language offensive. I am even wondering if you're for real... Hope you're not offended. This is my honest reaction." No, I am not offended at all. You had a reaction and shared it. That site was not meant for you and your type...(nor my type!) but it is to appeal to those who are so far away from confession and steeped in mortal sin...I didn't use a swear word nor would I ever (esp. against God!) but I did use something that they would speak like...and Fricken is something they would say (well, maybe the bad version). As St Paul said he is all things to all people (without sinning!), I also am (with that particular blog) trying to appeal to those who think and speak like this...albeit not the crowd you hang out with (nor I)....they are there and to think it is not there is to be little in a little Catholic bubble. Our world is in a very very grave state. To appeal to the younger set who are steeped in mortal sin, esp. sexual sins, is a good thing I believe...maybe I am wrong. I tried to do it in that sort of language...as it would not appeal as much speaking as we would. If so, they'd be in confession. As it is, everyone is sleeping all over the place and swearing and taking drugs and drink until the cows come home. I have great confession links posted, too ;).

Anyhow, that is the "story" behind the blog ;). I didn't mean for you to come check it out when I commented on your site...sorry!!

I am married 21 years and have 4 children thus far. I don't ever use the word FRICKIN LOL --not ever!! LOL Nor do I swear. I am a devout Roman Catholic....practicing...and quiet in nature, contemplative. FYI as you stated perhaps I am just some young goof perhaps LOL.

God came here for the lost...the sick need medicine. God bless you!

Catholica, you raise some interesting points. I wasn't actually referring to "frickin" but to some other language in your confession blog. (which I think you may have since removed). Anyway, I understand what you were trying to do-- meet the people who need confession on their own terms,so to speak. I'm not sure that's the best way to do it, but maybe you're right. I hope I haven't offended you by my comment. I pray that many people will be drawn to the awesome sacrament of Confession by your blog posts. You are certainly speaking the truth!! My comment about thinking you may be young was not meant as a put-down. Having studied linguistics I know that language changes and what used to be considered coarse can come to be considered exceptable slang. What I was trying to say was that maybe I'm just out of it. (Perhaps John the Baptist used some tough language to reach Herod?)God bless you and all your noble efforts to draw people to God.

Catholica, I just didn't find the post. I see you didn't remove it. May the seeds you've sown bear fruit.
