New Year's Resolutions...

Alexa at Roc Around the Clock wrote the following in regard to New Year's Resolutions.

"I don't think I need any self-imposed opportunities for feeling guilty for not measuring up."

I think she makes a good point.  I tend to make rather extravagant NYRs in the hopes of goading myself toward "perfection."  In doing so, I can set myself up for disappointing failure.

So this year I will make the following open-ended resolutions with the intention of making some progress, not necessarily achieving a measurable amount that might, in fact, in the context of my life, not be attainable.

For 2009 I resolve to do the following, to the extent that I can.....

Pray more and do some fasting for some particular intentions.

Take our dog Lucky for more walks as part of the next resolution.

Get more exercise.

Read and write more.

Spend a few minutes (15?) each day trying to get my house a little more tidy.

Love more.
