Our Governor Needs Prayers

This is our governor, Jennifer Granholm. She is beautiful, articulate, intelligent, and very dangerous to the unborn. Last night in her state of the state address she said she wanted to eliminate obstacles to embryonic stem cell research in Michigan. Jennifer Granholm is a practicing Catholic!!!!!! Please pray for her conversion and against her political career.

Rosemary,
What is wrong with some of our Catholic sisters and brothers?
My how they get themselves all comfy in these "policital" positions and make the biggest arses of themselves and how they hurt and affect others trying to push their selfish agendas. Sorry.
I have to fume here...just this morning the headlines of our newspaper just slathered our former pastor who just recently retired and its going to hurt him so much in his heart! It is a long story, but I will perhaps blog about it, but for this woman too, it is all about pushing her agenda...never a real concern for anyone else...just whine and get it out. It is pitiful! I will pray...please pray for Father Charlie and all of us Catholics in Bloomington today, will you? Thank you so much! God bless!

Rosemary,
I posted today on what it means to be in communion with the Church. There are those who think they can fold, bend, and mutilate the teachings of the Church to suit their earthly purposes. The reality is that Truth is non-negotiable. While Ms Granholm pursues this path for worldly success she does so at the peril of her eternal soul. She most definitely needs our prayers as do all the innocent lives who will be lost due to her actions.

You know, our priest recently did a sermon on the importance of Catholics being in the political forum. He basically said it was our responsibility-which I believe is true (maybe in my next life when my kids are grown and my husband is retired) but this is surely not what he meant! We as Catholics need to take our faith and be bold with it--not throw it out there to be slaughtered and underminded.
Lord have Mercy-Turn her heart. Protect little lambs who are being killed for the political and personal gain of those who have fallen from You.

Lord have mercy, indeed, Deb and Mimi.

Suzanne, Father Charlie is in my prayers.

Denise, yes,the question is what does it mean to be in communion with the church. Can anyone call themselves Catholic and be accurate?

Cris, yes, Catholics need to serve. How about Senator Brownback?

Oh My, yes she is in desperate need of our prayers as is our Governor Kathleen Sebelius here in KS, who calls publicly calls herself Catholic but is now going to the Protestant Church with her husband.

Lord have mercy on them and on the world.

I am uniting my prayers with yours for her conversion.

God bless you,
Jean

Rosemary,

I neglected to mention that Governor Sebelius is a strong advocate of abortion and has accepted "blood money" from late-term abortionist George Tiller to look the other way when he violates the law and also when he kills women.

Oh my word! Lord have mercy!

Then she can't be a "practicing" Catholic if she wants to remove obstacles to this type of research. God have mercy.

floridawife, you're right. What I means is that she belongs to a Catholic parish, attends Mass, and is active in parish life. I presume she receives communion since there has been discussion about whether she should be refused. My own pastor has said there is no way she would receive from him....being a public figure with a public position like that.
