I can't just turn off Christmas. I could never take the tree down on January 1. Good heavens. that would be way too early for us. We ALWAYS keep it up until at least Jan. 6, the traditional Feast of the Epiphany before it was changed to a Sunday.
But now we're past the Baptism of Jesus and our tree is still up. We're even still turning the lights on. LOL I know. Christmas is officially over. But it's so pretty. What's the rush? Plus my husband's knee and back have been hurting and he is usually the one to get the boxes out. I meant to get them out today but still haven't gotten to it.
So here are a few of my lingering Christmas images....

Pretty. I have a little battery run clock. It plays a soft Christmas tune..part of one on the hour. The sound is sweet. Guess I'll keep it through the month. :) How are you?
Oh, hope your husband is feeling better..I know we have been having more of the aches lately, if you know what I mean! ;)
I always struggle and get so sad when I put away the Christmas decorations. I love to listen to Michael McLean's The Forgotten Carols while I do it. He has a song about crying when taking the Christmas tree down. You would love it!
Suzanne, I'm fine. Busy, you know. Your clock sounds lovely. Funny how the little things can bring us joy. Yes, my husband is feeling better. Thank you for asking.
Lynz, I know. I get sad too. (and sometimes crabby :-) Christmas is just such a happy time. I love all of it.
