We had a really fun Thanksgiving this year. We had 20 people for dinner (including us) and everyone was looking forward to it.
All my children were home. Doesn't get any better than that.
Below: A family game of Settlers of Catan. Fun game!!
Our kitchen/dining area could stand a little more room! It did work though. And the
Cousinos and
Simkins didn't mind a bit. It's so pleasant to celebrate with easy-going people.
Anne with fiance Zach whose family joined us.
Dear friend Patti came with some of her kids.
Zach's parents on the far left....I love great conversation with strong pro-life Christians.
And what was really amazing and delightful about this group was the predominance of young people. Fifteen of the twenty here were under about twenty-five. That made for lots of energy, lots of laughter, and lots of fun.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and I hope you all did too.

We had a lovely (small) Thanksgiving, but looking at your table I think I would much rather have been your guest! Looks like you got to have the company of some of my very favorite people...
Kate, we sure did and you would have fit right in. By August your family, all these guests, and my family will somehow be connected by in-law relations of one kind or another. Want to come next Thanksgiving?
I like the looks of the woman in peach - second from last picture. She looks so down to earth and friendly.
Happy belated Turkey Day Rosemary.
Serena, she is down to earth and friendly. She will be my daughter's new mother-in-law. Collette is a fine Christian woman who has home schooled all her children and done a fine job. She is staunchly pro-life. I believe she even started a crisis pregnancy center. Before coming to our house she delivered a number of dinners for "meals on wheels." She also regularly feeds the homeless. One fine woman. She's great.
Wonderful!
I can't wait to settle down somewhere for the rest of my life and start having BIG celebrations again.
Sarah, this was the biggest we've ever had and I loved it. I wish our house was just a little bigger so we could have celebrations with just a LITTLE more elbow room. Still, it was great.
How fun! Except for Mike in that Michigan shirt ;)!!! ND gear suits him much better!
Mary, LOL. Right! And what do you make of Charlie leaving?
Gosh! Looks like fun. I'm hoping to have a celebration on the 12th for Our Lady of Guadalupe/ Crista's BD and Aaron (my grandboy)BD times.
Its all around the same time, so thought we might have an Open House with Mexican fare and Mexican music..
we'll see! :) Hope and pray it turns out well, if we do!
Looks like a wonderful day, Rosemary. You are blessed. :o)
It might have been tight, but you've absolutely gotta love that table! amazing....20 people around it! You are blessed with wonderful family and friends. Pat
Ah! I'm coveting that table!
Suzanne, hope the 12/12 celebration turns out well if you do it!
Kalona, thank you. I am blessed.
Pat, actually there were 14 at this table and 6 in the family room. If my kitchen were longer we could have put 2 more leaves (!) in and then we probably could have had all 20 at one table.
Laura, I do love this table. It's an Amish table. We usually have 4 leaves in for our family, but it has 11 more! The problem is I don't have room to extend it all the way! It's a great table.
Wow Rosemary, what a wonderful hostess you are :-) I would love to have been one of your dinner guests. Mum reads your blog sometimes and we were saying only the other day that you are one of the bloggers that we would really like to meet because you are such a lovely, genuine woman. So glad you all had a great time!
