I'm OK. I'm OK. LOL

I have a habit of leaving cabinet doors open. I do it all the time. Then I go back and close them all when I notice.

On Saturday, I was leaning down to get something from under the counter and then stood up to meet the very corner of the bottom of the upper cabinet right on my left eyebrow. I hit it so hard (must have been in a hurry) it actually bled a little.

Well, next day, lo and behold I had a black eye!! Isn't is lovely? And I keep forgetting to mention to people how it happened.

THEN....the very next day, while cleaning the U of M football stadium (which I will write about soon) I stepped on a broom funny and hit myself in the other eye. Now there is a lesser bruise on the other one. I can't remember the last time I had anything resembling a black eye. Now I have two of them.

I bet there are those who are thinking......hmm, something must be going on in her life.

Honestly, no one is beating me . (accept my own carelessness) LOL

Oh Rosemary, I'm sorry that happened to you! Both incidents sound just like something I might do. I hope these are the last black eyes you'll ever have.

Aw! My goodness. I have a funny story. Its like a Guardian Angel almost warns me every time before I hit the corner of kitchen cabinets..I will have this very light sensation where I just know its right above my head..right before I touch it..like one single hair touches it..I'll back away and sure enough, low and behold I would have bammed the heck out of myself if I had just lifted my head one mil ha ...that has happened so much...actually more than actually hitting the corner, which I have some a few times...so I try to pay close attention when I feel that sensation. Hope you're all better soon! :)

Uff! Heal well, my friend. I do the very same thing. Is it just me or does it hurt more the older one gets???

Ouch! Oh my goodness.

I am guilty of leaving the cabinet doors open and it drives my long-suffering husband nuts.

Thank you all for your sympathy!

Oh, no! Rosemary! That's so sad! Just say you're trying some new eye shadow. I hope they heal quickly!

I have the same habit of leaving the cupboards open. Except, my husband keeps hitting himself on them.

LOL! The day before the Opening Night Gala of TSOM I banged my upper lip so hard that one of my teeth went clear through the lip to the outside. (I was tossing an old chair frame into our trash bin and it hit the side of the bin and bounced out and hit me.) I thought FOR SURE someone at the Gala would think my DH Ted had given me a fat lip! Instead I pretended it looked more like I had gone to a plastic surgeon for a collagen injection...

Ruthann, LOL. I didn't even notice.
