March for Life photos..

It was very refreshing and encouraging to see such a strong Catholic presence at the March.
Many of the overheard conversations included talk of adoration, Father so-and-so, parishes, etc.  I really felt I was among "my people," if you know what I mean.

I was shocked to just run into Rory, someone I've known a long time who happens to also be the mother of my son's roommate in South Bend.

Denise Hunnell (of A Catholic Matriarch in My Domestic Church)and I in front of the Supreme Court, the end of the March.

My daughter was pleased to see a strong contingent from her alma mater, Madonna University.

And there were Notre Dame students everywhere.  (Who knew?  Strong Catholics at Notre Dame?  I'm kidding, of course.  Notre Dame is full of strong Catholics.)

I'm really glad we went.  All four of us found the March a moving experience and the whole trip an enjoyable time.

Lord have mercy on our country.  With Jesus, we live in hope.

Hi Rose!
I KNOW what you mean about being with "your people". Living here in South Bend where everyone wears ND gear and cheers for the Irish~heaven!

And GUESS WHAT I found out today? We had a ND Grad student observing our religion class today, as we are preparing for First Reconciliation. She told me that the Masters of Divinity program is 100% funded by ND! I said," Do you mean to tell me that means you pay no tuition whatsoever?" She said , "Correct."

I LOVE this town!

Wow, Mary, all tuition covered. That's amazing.
I have to get back to ND. People with ND shirts were everywhere at the March (trains, restaurants, etc. I wonder how many people they had there.

It sounded like such a great experience! I hope our new President doesn't get his way on this critical issue.

Rosemary,
My computer is still in the shop but I should be getting it out today. I am so happy that you were able to attend this and meet another Catholic mom blogger there!
Also, that the weather was good because it was so miserable cold when I went that year. My two (Crista and Shane) said that they felt strongly that there were many more people there than any year (Crista) has went and that they noticed there weren't many booers, as I'd call them, on the sidelines.
Anyway, I'll chat more later when I get the computer home.
Take care and hey...don't worry about the 3 lbs...probably just the trip you took..it happens to us all! Suz

Lynz, me too.

Suz, the weather was not too bad. It was only after about five hours that we started to be uncomfortably cold. I saw no booers at all. And thanks for the encouragement on the three pounds. Two are already gone again. :-)
