We usually pick our pumpkins for Halloween from any of a number of pick-your-own fields near us. We almost didn't stop at this one because the pumpkins looked so small from the road. Up close we saw they were very nice sizes.

And they were all so lovely. Big, round, firm, nice stems..... It was so hard to decide.....
So we ended up with FIVE lovely round pumpkins. Now that's going to be a lot of carving. My dear husband has already cleaned out all the insides.....

This looks like fun, Rosemary! It brings back memories. We used to do the same thing when we lived in IL. In fact, one year, we grew our own pumpkin. We just threw the old one out in the garden. It froze over the winter and produced a large new pumpkin the following year.

Five pumpkins sounds like a lot of delicious roasted pumpkin seeds!

Jean, It was fun. How fun that the pumpkin grew naturally! You know I looked at all those seeds and thought how I should roast them and then just didn't get to it!
